What year are you and what are you studying?

Junior in Finance and Accounting

How long have you been working at the CCO?

This is my second semester working at the CCO.

What are your responsibilities? What does a Peer Consultant do?

As a Peer Consultant, I help students achieve their professional goals by answering their questions and giving advice. Mainly, I help students by giving resume and cover letter reviews as well as mock interviews and career fair prep.

What have you learned about resumes and professionalism through this position?

I have learned about what companies and recruiters are looking for in candidates, how students can make themselves standout, and what good work ethic means in the workforce. Everything I've learned about resumes has been through this position!

What is your favorite part of your job?

I really enjoy giving presentations around campus because I get to see what students are involved in! Its great to see students get excited for career fairs and interviews. Beyond presentations, conducting mock interviews has been a great experience to get to know students one-on-one.

What is one piece of advice you would give Purdue students?

Always challenge yourself and strive to push yourself outside of your comfort zone! Don't be afraid to set a lofty goal. You will always surprise yourself by how much you can grow.
